About TriYoga

TriYoga Flows method combines flowing and sustained postures in union with the rhythmic breath and focused mind. This trinity practice is the unification of asana, pranayama and mudra.  Through TriYoga practice, the breath becomes even and rhythmical, the mind focused and calm. This naturally creates a harmonious inner state, the firm foundation of meditation.  Classes focus on five of the Eight Limbs of Yoga: TriYoga Flows (asana) and conclude with deep relaxation (prathayara), rhythmic breathing (pranayama), concentration (dharana) and meditation (dhyana). Each part is integral to the practice.  Participate to the extent that feels comfortable to you.  Bolsters, pillows and other props can be used in all levels to ensure comfort and alignment.  Each level includes five series that gradually progress to teach all the postures of that level. Beginning with Basics, each level is a prerequisite for the next level.

About Elissa's Teaching Style

Elissa has completed 500 hours of Yoga Teacher Training, the highest level recognized by Yoga Alliance.  The most important aspect of this training to her are the tools she acquired to create awareness in order to shift limiting patterns in her life through self-study and self reflection.  Always in a constant state of growth and learning, Elissa has also completed teacher training in the KaliRay TriYoga style of hatha yoga.  She is particularly drawn to the TriYoga lineage due to its focus on relaxation in action, remaining in the flow, and the constant focus on the unity of breath, movement, and focus.  All classes that Elissa currently teaches are in the TriYoga style.
