Through a yoga practice, you begin to enlighten the body and the mind by the shifting of learned patterns. Patterns of movement, patterns of tension, patterns of breath, patterns of behavior begin to shift as you undertakes a yoga practice. A yoga practice unifies the body and the breath (spirit).
The practice of Yoga does not only deal with developing the body but also covers all the aspect of your life as outlined in the Eight Limbs of Yoga. It is concerned about the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of an individual as well as his environment and relationship with other creatures. A practice that incorporates the eight limbs of yoga leads to deeper self-knowledge, love and respect towards other people and creatures, cleaner environment, a healthy diet, and union with the Divine.

When I discovered the book The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose, I immediately cleared out my pantry, and stocked my fridge with celery, kale, apples, and lemons for Green Lemonade, plus lots of other yummy raw treats. The book seemed to summarize for me all of these ideas that I had floating around in my head about what made the most sense to me and how I approach what I eat, what my body says it needs, and what it says it doesn’t need.
